The Team
We are a team of boat builders each of whom has a lifetimes experience of building and repairing wooden boats.
Our portfolio of work can be viewed on our Past Work page where you will see pictures of the boats before and after our refurbishments including descriptions of some of the work undertaken.
Our specialisation is to renovate and maintain older wooden boats, usually in the boatyard where the client keeps his boat. We find this to be most efficient as the client usually already has a good relationship with the yard and it is a known venue for him. If necessary we can remove the boat to a Hayling Island yard either by sea or by road at an additional cost. Our workshop is based on Hayling Island in Hampshire on the south coast of England, but we are willing and able to work anywhere. Indeed over the last few years we have worked in France, Spain, Norway & Denmark.
We don't only work on large, significant projects some of our most memorable work has been on more moderate craft. Every project is considered on its own merits and the more interesting and challenging it is the more we like it.

Saving Our Past

Some of our most important work has been done on maintaining a number of "Dunkirk Little Ships", those wonderful vessels which in time of need, when called upon to show what Britain stood for were not lacking in strength and resolve. They put to sea, some of them to venture into waters that they had previously never intended to explore, to help bring our fighting forces home from the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940. Here we are 70 years later with a fleet of these historic vessels most of whom need the loving care that only skilled tradesmen such as we can give.
